It is just the beginning for budding songstress Trinity Faith.
The rising country star recently released “Favor” on all music steaming platforms, which she revealed to Celeb Secrets host Juliet Schroder “has been a whirlwind” of an experience.
“That was the first song that we put out on TikTok that like really went kind of nuts with videos and reactions. I posted a snippet of ‘Favor’ probably like six months ago, just seeing, you know, what it was gonna do (like kind of a tease),” she shared. “We finally released it, and there’s like over hundreds of people using ‘Favor’ in people’s videos and making those stories about it, so it’s just been amazing to see how that song is connecting with other people.”
As for the meaning behind “Favor” itself, “it was really cool just to kind of like make some stories up too, but also like add in parts of me and my emotions and what it’s like to get over a relationship and honestly know that you’re valued and to, you know, kind of really give that to girls who are going through a heartbreak,” Trinity spilled.
“Even though I haven’t been in a relationship or a heartbreak for a while, I still wanted to write those feelings and those emotions and a song for girls that are going through it to know just how much they’re worth,” she concluded passionately.
“Favor” serves as the last track to be released off of her recent EP Just Me, alongside other singles “Just Me,” “South Coast Highway” and “Could’ve Been Mine,” but the Florida native has an even bigger project in the works…
A highly-anticipated full-length album is “coming out this year, but we’ve released some singles from it and we have some of my favorites that still haven’t been released yet, so stay tuned for those,” Trinity dished.
“The whole premise of Just Me is just being content and telling girls that they’re worth it and valuable and their heart is beautiful and worth it,” and the empowering artist has plans to continue to spread this message within her upcoming project as well — We seriously can’t wait!
At this year’s Country Radio Seminar, the 21-year-old shared ALL of the details in an exclusive interview, which you can read for yourself below. Celeb Secrets: What’s going on, Trinity? How are you?
Trinity Faith: “I’m so great. I’m so excited about all the new stuff coming. It’s fueling me. I feel so energetic and excited about it.”
CS: Is this your first CRS?TF: “It’s my first CRS. Yesterday went by so fast. It was so crazy, but I loved every minute of it. I’m trying to like slow down and be present and take up all the time and the moments I get, but it’s been great.”
CS: Yeah, because this is a big deal for, you know, budding artists like you, because you get to put your music out on the forefront for all media and radio people. Has there been nerves?
TF: “No… Honestly, I have to really give credit to my team who’s helped me walk through this whole process. They also leave a little bit for me still, like the excitement. They don’t tell me everything, because they know I’m a very detailed person, so they kind of like hold a few details from me because I know like I’ll be in my head about it, but it’s been great. No, I haven’t been nervous at all. I’ve just been myself and talked about the new stuff and all the things coming, so it’s been really fun.”
CS: You have to tell me all about what’s coming up for you! Fill me in with the music.
TF: “We released ‘Favor’ two and a half weeks ago, and that has been a whirlwind. That was the first song that we put out on TikTok that like really went kind of nuts with videos and reactions. I posted a snippet of ‘Favor’ probably like six months ago, just seeing, you know, what it was gonna do (like kind of a tease). I would release singles, and they’re like, ‘Well, we want ‘Favor!’ We want ‘Favor!” We finally released it, and there’s like over hundreds of people using ‘Favor’ in people’s videos, and making those stories about it, so it’s just been amazing to see how that song is connecting with other people.”
CS: Tell me about the song! What’s it about? How was the creative process for you?
TF: “Yes, ‘Favor’ was a really exciting and fun one. I had a co-writer with me. We sat down and he just kind of was spewing out some ideas and he had came across this one really catchy line and it was just something like ‘you did me a favor,’ and he had said a few more, but that was the one that really stuck in my mind… When I said, ‘We need to write this one Bill,’ he was like, ‘Okay, but here’s the question: How savage do you wanna get with this song?’ and I was like, ‘Let’s do it. No question. Let’s write it,’ so it was really cool just to kind of like make some stories up too, but also like add in parts of me and my emotions and what it’s like to get over a relationship and honestly know that you’re valued and to, you know, kind of really give that to girls who are going through a heartbreak. Even though I haven’t been in a relationship or a heartbreak for a while, I still wanted to write those feelings and those emotions and a song for girls that are going through it to know just how much they’re worth.”
CS: I feel like a lot of girls need that, because, you know, just with social media and relationships now and the dynamic, it’s really important to have something.
TF: “Also the whole album too. I mean for Just Me, I was trying to find some inspiration to write and I knew that there were, you know, heartbreak songs or love songs and kind of in the middle was something I questioned. I didn’t find a lot of songs that really talked about just being in a season of waiting, and I really wanted to bring that to life with the whole album, so the whole premise of Just Me is just being content and telling girls that they’re worth it and valuable and their heart is beautiful and worth it.”
CS: Oh, I love that! Now is the album out yet or is it coming out?
TF: “Not yet. It’s coming out this year, but we’ve released some singles from it and we have some of my favorites that still haven’t been released yet, so stay tuned for those.”
CS: It’s gotta be nice too, because you’re kind of rolling them out a little bit. You’re seeing how the feedback is, so then when the big day comes for the album, you’re all good and done!
TF: “We just got on Spotify’s Fresh Finds and also New Music Friday Country. We did like three Spotify playlists, which has been like in the matter of a couple weeks. It’s been insane, so big moves that this album is making and I’m just very excited.”
CS: How would you describe your sound? Because a lot of women in country music, sometimes they sound the same, sometimes they bring different things to the table, so what do you bring to the table?
TF: “I love to incorporate all different genres, honestly. Country music for me, and that’s why I love new country so much because everyone is so receptive to bringing other things into country, it’s not just traditional. I still love traditional country and I’ll always appreciate it, but I love that the new element — You can bring in some pop, some blues, some R&B, some classic and big vocals. Everything that kind of goes along with that also goes along with storytelling, and so that all wrapped up is pretty much me in a nutshell.”
CS: I love that! It’s International Women’s Month celebrating women here in the month of March. You are a woman in country music, so you need to tell me how that feels for you and what it’s like to be a woman in country music.
TF: “I feel so grateful, honestly. I’ve had this dream since I was a little girl and to see things play out, I just feel so grateful. God’s been so good in my life, and I’m excited to see where everything goes and just to keep writing music, but also staying really true to myself and my story and being authentic and relating that through song, you know?”
CS: Awesome! What is your story? Like what’s the story you’re trying to tell?
TF: “I think everyone has a specific story, whether it’s incorporating things from childhood or current day, and for me, it’s really just a mix of emotions of being a woman of country, but also in a space where I haven’t been in a relationship for four years. I really wanted to bring that aspect of storytelling where this is for the girls who don’t have to be in a relationship to feel valued, and it’s okay to do your thing and change your dreams and not be in that mindset where everyone else around you is like getting married and having kids and getting engaged and all the things, and you’re just kind of like, ‘I’m doing great just on my own, working on myself and pursuing my dreams and being exactly where God wants me to be.’ That’s my story and I’m just so excited to tell it through music.”
CS: Absolutely! I feel like a lot of people are going to like that and resonate with it, like we said before. Now are you bringing any of these songs on the road? Have you been playing any shows?
TF: “We are working on some live shows, like right now as we speak. I’m in the process of getting back to Nashville, so hopefully getting a band here and starting to play shows with also the new music that we have coming out will be super exciting, because that’s something that was really important to me before we started booking shows — Making sure we had our music, you know, stuff of my own original that I wanted to share with an audience, so now that we have that, I think it’s the next step and I can’t wait.”
CS: Now we don’t have a a set release date for the album, but when are you thinking? Fall? Summer?
TF: “Ohhhhh… I’m hoping like summer-fall.”
CS: Okay, good. That’s awesome! Now, do you maybe have any goals for the rest of this year that you really want to achieve? Obviously, you know, release a full length album…
TF: “I’d love to get another music video under my belt. I would love that. I think we don’t have a like official music video yet. We had a visualizer for ‘South Coast Highway,’ but I really want a really cool music video. Hopefully we get accepted through CMT — That would be awesome. I have personal goals and I think I have career goals too. It’s a mix of everything.”
CS: Oh, that’s awesome! Now what would be like the dream song and the dream music video storyline that you would like?
TF: “Oh man, that’s a hard one! I think even doing a music video with ‘Favor’ would be so cool. I still love the storyline of that, and it’s also very energetic, which I think is a side of me that people don’t always get to see all the time through social media. I’m a very bubbly person, and I think that song really kind of has the sass and I love it, so that one would be really cool.”
CS: Love that! Now we are Celeb Secrets, so when I interview people I ask them about behind-the-scenes secrets, so what’s maybe like a secret or fun fact about yourself?
TF: “I love to cook — I don’t think people realize how much I love it. I love to meal prep. I love to have like a full fridge. I love to cook.”
CS: Favorite foods that you like to cook?
TF: “Pasta, come on! I have some Italian blood in me, so that’s like top of the list. Gimme all the Italian food: pizza, pasta… oh my gosh!”
